Our design process
We start with a site visit to read the sun, wind, soil and slope, then plan the garden into zones with you: where to sit, where to walk, what to screen and what to plant. Water-wise by default
In the Cape, water-wise is not a style, it is common sense. We build gardens around indigenous and water-wise planting that thrives on our dry summers, group plants by thirst, and mulch heavily so the garden looks good on far less water.
Hard landscaping done right
The paving, paths and walls are the bones of a garden, and they are where a cheap job shows fastest. We build on a proper base with correct falls and edge restraints. You can read more on our paving service, or estimate quantities with the paving calculator.
New builds and makeovers
We landscape brand new homes from bare ground, which is a big part of our work in the newer estates around Klapmuts, and we revive tired, overgrown gardens that have lost their shape. Both start with the same honest look at what the space can be.

How much does landscaping cost?＋
It depends entirely on the size of the garden and how much hard landscaping, such as paving and walls, is involved. Planting is relatively affordable, while paving, decking and retaining walls carry most of the cost. A free on-site quote is the best way to cost it around your space and budget.

How long does a landscaping project take?＋
A small makeover can be a few days, while a full garden build with paving, walls and planting runs over a few weeks. Many clients phase the work over a few seasons, which is completely normal.
Do you maintain the garden after building it?＋
Yes. Most of our landscaping clients move onto a regular garden service so the new garden is looked after and establishes well.
Can you landscape a small garden or courtyard?＋
Absolutely. Small spaces reward good design, with vertical planting, a limited palette and clever paving. It is one of our favourite kinds of project.
