A real instant lawn is cheaper, cooler and better for a large open garden, but it needs water and mowing. The right answer depends on the spot.
How a proper installation works
As with paving, the base is everything. We excavate, lay and compact a stone base, add a weed membrane, then lay, join and secure the grass and brush in the infill that keeps the pile standing. A cheap install skips the base and shows it within months, with bumps, weeds coming through and poor drainage after rain.
Choosing the right grass
Pile height, density, colour and UV stability all matter, and the best choice depends on use. A pet area or poolside wants a tougher, free-draining product, while a display lawn can be softer and longer. We guide you to a grass that suits the spot and still looks natural.
Yes, it needs a little maintenance
Artificial grass is low maintenance, not no maintenance. An occasional brush to lift the pile, a rinse, and clearing leaves keeps it looking fresh for years. It is a fraction of the effort of a real lawn, but it is not quite fit-and-forget.
