Garden & landscaping services

Everything your garden needs, from a full landscaping build to regular upkeep, across Paarl, Stellenbosch and the Cape Winelands. For private homes and estate common grounds alike.

Which of these you actually need

Nearly every garden wants one of two things. Either a round that keeps what is already there in good order, or a project that changes it. Everything on this page is one or the other, and the two are priced differently: a round is a standing monthly arrangement, a project is quoted once against a measured scope.

If the garden is broadly right and just getting away from you, you want the maintenance round. If you are changing the shape of the space, laying a surface or putting a garden in from bare ground, you want one of the project services below it.

The projects run in a particular order

Sequence matters more than most people expect, and getting it wrong means paying twice. Tree work comes first, because felling or thinning changes the light and the access for everything downstream, and because no one wants a crane over new paving. Irrigation goes in before lawn and before planting, while the ground is still open. Paving and irrigation are best booked together for the same reason: both mean trenching, and doing them in one visit saves opening the same ground twice.

Instant lawn is the last thing to go down. It is the one item on this list with a clock on it, since the rolls need to be laid and watered within roughly a day of being cut.

How the quote works

We measure on site, and the visit is free. Quantities come off the measurement rather than an estimate over the phone, which is why the number does not move afterwards. If you want to sanity-check a figure before we come out, the free calculators give you the quantities for paving, lawn, compost, hedging and irrigation water.

We have been a registered, approved contractor at Val de Vie and Pearl Valley for over seven years, and we work to estate rules as a matter of course: accreditation, working hours, green waste removal and the approved plant and grass lists, which differ from one estate to the next. The area pages carry what applies where.
